Mossy robbed again

It was my work van that got cleaned out.if it was the garage I would be on a 24/7 find and destroy mission and some punk would end up in a pool of his own blood.Garage has alarm etc but I dont like the thought of putting tools in it because thieves will go searching for them if the van is empty.
Im thinking of getting small gps and installing it into case of a second hand battery drill so I can track the pricks if they do it again.Figure ill buy a faulty drill cheep and let it be an easier item to find.I already have a hilti case and charger which I can open up and stick gps in the charger.I have a stuffed hilti battery so just need a stuffed hilti drill to make a set.
