An update...so based on the recommendations here it certainly sounds like lowering my bike will make it more comfortable but I think I want to try something else (read: smaller/easier) first. I did a little snooping around the suspension (really trying to locate the dogbones so I know what you guys are talking about), and I noticed that the back shock is adjustable...the manual says its for adjusting spring preload. Anyway, it was cranked all the way to 7. I went ahead and put that back at 3 and tried mounting the bike (not riding, just picking it off the stand and balancing it)...it feels a lot better. I was in shorts and sneakers so its not a totally accurate test, but tomorrow I'll give it a go in full gear to see if the adjustment made any difference.
We'll see what happens...if its comfortable enough, I may hold off on the dogbones for a while...if not, Ill be shooting haunter a PM.
Thanks a lot guys...and thanks for the "war stories"

I think I'm less pissed about dropping the bike or having to adjust/modify it than I am anxious to get out and riiide.
