Battery question.

Well, I feel like an idiot. Got to looking at everything for a thrid time. The main fuse was blown. So I put the spare in and ten seconds later it blew. I didn't even turn the key on. Started looking at everything. Noticed something that didn't seam correct, so I took a closer look at it. I had the positive and negative on the VR backwords. Switched them around, put another new fuse in and turned the key. Everything works. I can know case down and miss wired items. I'll have to put the battery on a charger before I try cranking it, but for now things work.

be glad you didnt turn it on ETC in that time, that can fry the CDI box if you arent careful

A couple of months ago, i was servicing a friend's R6. Battery was dead and i had to put a new one. I went to a store and he gave me a dry battery. However he take a stripe off the caps and put a gel-like component inside. Then he charge it for about 15 minutes and i was ready. He told me that dry batteries take this gel inside them. Did you put gel into yours? What they told you from the store you bought it?
