Postage help needed from Canada to UK

Post by Stig »

My next door neighbour has a Jeep Grand Cherokee and is looking to replace the plastic wheel centres (a couple are missing so may replace all 4 and keep 2 as spares)

The centres are $9 each, weigh bugger all but the company selling them wants $200 for shipping to UK???? WTF banghead

Is there anyone in Canada who would be willing to have them shipped to their address and then forward them on to UK at a realistic cost. I dont mind sending payment as a gift via paypal and my neighbour will pay for the goods and initial shipping to your Canadian address

The items probably weigh a couple of oz each and are approx 2" in diameter. Ive tried turning some out of alloy in the lathe but as they need to clip into a ridge in the wheel centre, the alloy tangs snap off due to lack of play/flex. I cant get a good enough finish on the plastic thats available

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Paul

I've used a company called Parcel2Go and their rates were reasonable.

EDIT: Parce2Go will allow you to pay for the shipping, all the seller has to do it box it up.

Just spoke to neightbour. Apparently shipping within Canada is FREE so the $200 must be for packaging :duh:

Basically they're just trying to rip off international customers..........
