FZR Offroad Capabilities - 6.5/10

So my buddy with an R1 went exploring with me today. We decided to leave the streets since it was boring. And having just installed my brand new shinko tires the other day, i figured offroading was the best way to break in the tires....

Then about a mile or two into the trail it started raining pretty good. Mind you the trail was very rocky with lots of holes and muddy slick sections... The shinkos worked great! They kept me upright, and handled rough terrain better than i expected. I slid around a lot and had a slight scare nearly having the front end wash out, but i mean who doesnt have a close call every now and then? But i will admit.... 470lbs becomes quite a bear sometimes, and you gotta love the turning radius...

The FZR can hold its own in the woods. So long as your obstacles arent obscenely big. And you run the bike without farings. To be fair the R1 handles this stuff just as well.. So its just a matter of how much power you want.

Ive also had the FZR on some dirt roads before todays shenanigans. Ripping throttle on dirt is rather fun....

Hope you guys dont take offense to this haha. Im going to get a supermoto as a second bike, but for now i am improvising.

I regularly go trail riding on my FZR600s, there's no problems - just got to take it easy and remember the (lack of) ground clearance!
