Do the clearances generally change in the break in period after a rebuild?
Ive replaced all the intake valves and ground lapped the lot on a 1K motor. Just wondering if they tend to tighten up a bit in the break in period? In your experience.
Cheers.
P.S I was a bit surprised how buggered the intake valves were after only 40,000 Ks. Good thing they were quite cheap to buy I thought.

It's worth checking them.
IIRC there was a check (and adjust if necessary) at the break-in service (600 miles in the states), then you were good to go for 8000Miles (12,000)

Re: valve clearances after rebuild
Il answer that question myself now.
After two hours running since rebuild. My clearances have all tightened anywhere between 0.02-0.05mm but most of them 0.03mm.
