Hey everybody! Long time, no see

Post by mrfreeze5 »

Hello again FZRO! I missed you guys! I work way too freaking much and turned off my home internet a while back, so ive been out of touch. Still got my hybrid, although shes noy as pretty as she used to be. I injured my neck a few years ago and cant ride a sportbike for extended periods withouy pain. So my poor hybrid has been sitting for probablu 2 years. Im going through it now cleaning it up and bringing back to road readiness. Im hoping to take it for a ride before summer is up. I think im going to swap on some dirt bars to see if that is more comfortable. I am still out riding though! I picked up a new ride lately and its a beast, all sorts of fun to ride! Im going to try and get back here more often, I miss you guys!

This is my new 2009 warrior. Got her with 7 miles on the clock and a nice discount since it was a few years old.

Wow! Great to hear you're doing well. Sure enjoyed watching your hybrid build - I will never forget it.

Beautiful bike! I did a similar thing - bought a 2013 Suzuki Boulevard M90. My back couldn't take the stance of the sportbike anymore. Yep, getting old sucks.

Im fond of those as well. I really like the low, curvy muscle bike setup, and im a sucker for USD forks. I always liked the warriors but didnt love it until the reimage when it got 5 spokes and new bars. It wasnt until I saw one in a dealership with these pipes on it (which made it for me!) And it was shift red, my favorite color. But I didnt have my down payment until 3 days later and it sold. So 6 weeks later I found this one on my lunch break working out of town. And that was my 30th birthday present to myself. Ive put about 500 miles on it in the week and a half ive had it.

Im eager to dust my hybrid off. I need to bleed the clutch and charge the battery and top off the oil and it should start.

Hey, freeze, Good to hear from you! I just recently got back involved with the board too. My bike project is still not finished:sad:
I love the look of the warrior and the boulevard. I would like to get one. Good to hear your doing good.

I'm new to the board & not familiar with your hybrid Bike. What is it? Do you have a build post?

I'm in the long, slow process of building an FZR400 based hybrid myself. I'm attempting to swap an air cooled RD400 engine into it. I too suffer from serious neck & back pain. I cannot handle being hunched over a set of clip-on bars. I have installed a set of Honda CR low profile dirt bike bars on my bike & it feels great when I sit on the bike. I have yet to ride it, but I think that it is going to work well. Give it a try. It sure beats selling your bike.

If you have the photos, please send them to me and I will upload them directly into the FZROnline.com server.
