So im gonna turn it into a race bike and paint it up like old style yellow/black Kenny Roberts replica. Anyone here know where i can get a race full fairing from?
Its a 1989 1k model. Ive only found 1 source so far. If it was a 600 it would be easy but 1K cant find anything.
Also...will a later model tank say 1991 model fit my 1989 bike?
Cheers, Coops.
P.S Two broken ribs and a broken collar bone which poked out the top. And concusion. And a not very happy misses bonkonhead lol

Glad to hear you're in not too bad of shape. I hope you were wearing full race gear.

Who let you on a track without having to prep your bike? In the US, we have to either remove the lights or at the very least tape them up.

Here in the US we have Airtech for older Yamaha body work (http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/yamaz/prodyam.htm). I am not sure if they ship overseas.

Cheers for the reply, good link. They dont ship overseas, but i have friends over there (thanks, its another option)
Was wearing full race leathers and lights and indicators were taped up, side stand and passenger pegs ziptied up. All this is a must here too.
Cheers, Steve.

Yes this is my best option, i can repair and re-use the lower three pieces and get a race seat locally. My other option is to get a complete set here locally (but i have to get the complete set) and this will cost $1k
Do you mind if i PM you in a couple of weeks and ask what the quality is like?
Cheers.

Sounds like good news. Fiberglass is certainly easier to repair...not fun, but it is easier.

I'm also glad to hear that you survived. Gook luck with the repairs.
