Hello there guys! I have a question for you all - does the Engine Flush solutions affect the rotor of the alternator and the clutch plates? I've seen a LiquiMoly engine flush agent that has a warning on it - don't use on wet clutch motorcycles!
I wasn't planning on using such an agent - but I just had to ask to know if someone done the same thing and what were the repercussions!?

I've discovered this on e-bay Wurth Motorcycle Engine Flush and Cleaner 300ml...

It won't do anything to the rotor, but it's bad practice even to use car oil with "energy conserving" additives. Any super-duper moly slip additive will ruin your friction plates.

The rotor is dry.cs_05_hho wrote:...does the Engine Flush solutions affect the rotor of the alternator and the clutch plates? I've seen a LiquiMoly engine flush agent that has a warning on it - don't use on wet clutch motorcycles!
I didn't see the warning on the Flush Tech Sheet for the LiquiMoly, but I did for their other additives.
We use SeaFoam a lot here in the states as an Engine Flush with very good results.
When someone mentions "Moly" products and says that they're not safe for wet clutch motorcycles, then it means that there are additives, like what "car oil" has, that will make the clutch slip.cs_05_hho wrote:I didn't mention anything about using car oils!
