When it rains it pours

Post by Newbee »

Well this has been a week from hell!

Saturday I picked up a big toy for my kids from a bad part of town, while I was getting "help" from the neighborhood drunk the back window to my truck was broken from someone who was under the influence and impatient, (he pushed just a little to hard).

Sunday I came home to a dishwasher that was DOA. Stupid $380 circuit board is the culprit.

Coming home from work yesterday I felt a strange vibration from the bike, the wheel bearings need replaced badly, I dont want to ride it until they are replaced.
I was almost home when my right fairing broke loose and took flight accross the freeway, I figured it would be in serveral pieces but It wasnt, just cracked and scratched so I had to place an order for more plastex.

My clutch is also slipping terribly, I need to replace that as well.

I dont know what I did to deserve this, (carma?)

Old English saying "shit happens" sorry it was your turn.

You were not hurt all the stuff is repairable by you as you seem to be quite capable. new wheel bearings & a fresh paint job is on the horizon so it's not all bad :-}

I am very thankful that I wasnt hurt, and yes new bearings arent a bad thing.
I really didnt want to have to paint fairings any more, I thought I was done for a while, oh well. :(

N,
One thing I have learned in half a Centuary of owning bikes you are NEVER done fixing & tweeking and they demand more care and attention than the female of the species and THAT is saying something.
