Have you done a 520 conversion with a new lighter chain and sprockets? That is a great boost!

Otherwise, you could do some engine work such as a 660 hybrid engine. But in all reality, I'm not sure the gain is worth the cost.

Are you looking for top end or just acceleration? If you are willing to give up top end and some streetability you can just go with a smaller sprocket up front and a bigger sprocket in the rear. Depending on how many teeth you subtract/add you can make the FZR wheelie at will and slap you in the face with the tank if you are not careful. It is really no biggie to give up the 120+ mph range to get that kind of response, but also keep in mind that freeway speeds (65) wont be at 5500 rpm anymore, plus your gas milage will nose dive.

you can bore the motor to a 619 or a 630 but the kits run $500 alone. in the end a bore job will run at least $200 and you new gaskets and shuck and anything else needing replaced (prob timing chain and guide) your up to $1000 again for more power.

save $1000, sell the fzr and buy a newer 600. sorry but its the dead stright truth. only reason i am staying with the FZR is it would take me 2 years to save up for a 8-10 year old newer 600/750/1000...

84hp cool

at a pinch you could see if you can get a thinner gasket to rise compression or see if anybody makes standard size hi-comp pistons that just drop straight in

or ....

keep it , dont spend anymore money on it and go and buy whatever takes your fancy.

i guess the moot question is why do you need something faster canofworms

if i was looking for something similar, i reckon a late n sweet gixxer 750 would be the choice , plenty of power and still mega flickable and controllable

RRBike

have fun looking 8-)

honestly you don't need that much power unless your racing newer bikes, but whatever floats your boat.

I'd go with a chain, ign. advancer, and some head porting/gasket matching if you can do it. i forgot if there were cams available to switch out. IDK

If you want the front end to come off the ground consistently, then go with a 14/50 or 14/52. That's good for stunting. You can go even higher in the rear if you want.

I went with a 14/49 set-up and the bike has some serious take-off.

Will not change your speedo at all since it takes the speed from the front wheel. It will; however, reduce your fuel economy.
