Because I am facing felony charges I CANNOT get my license.
even if I were to then I would first have to pay the outstanding fines from the first time which are about $1075 right now. then the $300+ to get tag/registration done. then the $500 to the guy to get it. so $1875+.

The guy talked to me in a crappy way. I understand that he deals with assholes but I came to him respectful and right off the bat his first words to me were mocking me.

now the law with a impound lot is you cant drive it off without valid reg. BUT you can have it towed off the lot as well.
Its either thats not the case with a siezed vehicals, or the guy is just being an ass.

I know a guy that just had the same exact charges and he crashed his bike. but yet he was able to get it back. that means it was towed off the lot.

Title doesn't really mean much when it comes to the police selling something. They will sell it without the key and since it is a seized vehicle, they can have your title voided and then sell it with a bll of sale. Or it will end up in a junk yard.

If you have the $800, you could sell it to a friend for $1 and get them to re-title it in their name then go to the lot and pick it up. Probably won't work though. I'd get the lawyer to look into it for you since you have to pay him anyway.

By the way, did you admit to any of the charges? Do they have you on video? Not sure about Florida, but in some states they can't charge you for things unless they see you doing it. I know of lots of people that get out of speeding tickets because the cop can't prove it was them driving do to the fact that they were in their house by the time the cops caught up to them. Basically, it could have been someone else driving the vehicle. But if they have video or you already admitted to it, you're screwed. But I wouldn't bt on this woring for you now.

he got all riled up when I said that. lol

Im sure they have heli cam. they took my helmet as well. and they were trying to take my jacket but I said I had none.

hey how old are you? when i had my 3000gt i was racing it and got caught doing 175 in a 45 and the took my license and my car. i was 17 so i was still under my mom care. she was able to go get my car for me after they said i had to have a license to take my car home. maybe it would work for you?

find out the laws if you can have it towed if so have your lawyer go down there and tell the guy imsure he wont mess around with a lawyer willing to press charges on him for unlawful practices ask the police station if he can do that they know iv gone to stations and had them call people to settle things that required legal athourity if your persistant enough theyll call just to get you to leave. youll be suprised what getting a few names before you talk to them will keep them on the up and up when theres the chance of action against them

FORGET ABOUT THE BIKE! It's gone. Any money or worry you spend on it is extremely misplaced. You have 13 tickets pending against you not to mention all the shit from before this. You have close to a grand in fines from before this incident. On the most lucky of days lets assume you get the felonies dropped. You are looking at minimum 1200 for just the tickets. Lets keep a running total 1000 + 1200 = 2200. Oh right 1800 for the lawyer. So we're up to 4000. Now don't forget court fees. My guess is you'd be lucky as a freaking leprechaun to get out of this under $5000 and no prison time.

And you're worried about your bike that wouldn't fetch more than a grand if you were to sell it??? Man it doesn't look like you've learned a damn thing. If this was a case of an unfair ticket I'd be the first to chime in and say that sucks and cops are dicks. That isn't the case here. You've been given multiple chances and advice from multiple members about getting your shit together. And then you're dumb enough to run from the cops?? Seriously? You're the type of person giving sport bikers a bad name. Having the police pissed at us just because we ride a bike but they know stories of "our type". Having insurance rates go up because of the stupidity of irresponsible riders such as yourself. Not valuing your own life enough to stop and think for a moment, let alone the value you apparently place on anyone else in your life.

Personally, I'd be ok if you never owned a bike again. You do stupid shit on them. Now who's to say you won't do the same stupid shit in a car? Course with the tickets you've got the chances of you getting a license of any kind before you're 21 or older are pretty slim. Start looking at public transportation.

Focus on how you're going to cover the costs of your poor life choices, not how you can get your bike back.

You can get another bike when this is behind you. Like I said, stop talking and handle your business. They don't read the below to you for fun...

Don't mean to beat a dead horse here but it pisses me off to holy hell that there are guys running around on bikes (or cars for that matter) doing 100+ mph in 45 mph zones when I've got a wife and a kid out on the same streets minding there own business and NOT expecting to get their asses run over by some idiot who wants to avoid getting a ticket. I wanted to get the bike back and sell it to pay for some of the stuff but it looks impossible to do so.
So Im working my ass off and hopefully with find a yzf swingarm and I can throw that back together and sell it for a few bucks to help out.
Once everything is paid, then I'm gonna most likely have my license suspended till im 21. so I think Im just gonna join the military. I will most likely loose my girlfriend because of it. but its something to help

I cant understand why if you wanted to let rip at mega speeds why you didnt build a race bike and buy a cheep van for the road.
We have accident compensation corperation(government owned income and hospital cover) trying to lift registration costs in New Zealand from $350 per year to $900 per year because a small preportion of riders want to treat the road like a race track.On top of this I pay $850 per year for bike insurance.
$1750 per year before a single mile which I only do 2000per year.
Your kind of attitude to the road is an international problem thats killing our hoby.
Stay away from vehicles and kiss goodby to a percentage of your income until your debt free.Take up camping or something and forget bikes.
You would be hard pushed to catch me doing a cent more than 65 on the road when our limit is 60.

im still wondering how this all started. what sparked to attention of the police didthey just remember your bike and you dident have a licence or were you just speeding to begin with
