the guy said I can get it.haro504 wrote:i dislike the bs asscociated with the police and personal property etc. what kind of bike is worth another 10 grand id be pissed if i got the run around after that why dont you just ask them what the procedure is and what fees are involved so its not just speculation
he said he wants $500 for it.
BUT I must bring valid registration, tag, and I must have a valid license to do so.
Because I am facing felony charges I CANNOT get my license.
even if I were to then I would first have to pay the outstanding fines from the first time which are about $1075 right now. then the $300+ to get tag/registration done. then the $500 to the guy to get it. so $1875+.
I said, "cant I just have it towed off the lot?"
"Nope"
"why not?"
"because your just going to get right back on it. You ran before and this isnt your first time doing it"
"I never ran before sir. this is a first offense"
"Its not going off my lot without valid registration and tag."
"Thats impossible though, you know this"
"Do you have the title?"
"yes"
"bring it to me."
"Im not bringing you the title to my bike without getting my bike back. You just want to title so you can sell it off for more.
"im not worried about selling a 89'."
"Well you not getting the title or key to my bike."
The guy talked to me in a crappy way. I understand that he deals with assholes but I came to him respectful and right off the bat his first words to me were mocking me.
now the law with a impound lot is you cant drive it off without valid reg. BUT you can have it towed off the lot as well.
Its either thats not the case with a siezed vehicals, or the guy is just being an ass.
I know a guy that just had the same exact charges and he crashed his bike. but yet he was able to get it back. that means it was towed off the lot.
