Should wires to ignition be hot?

Should wires to ignition be hot?

I was doing some fine tuning on my 93 FZR600 with the tank cover off and engine running and when I toutched the wire hrness that connects to the ingition key switched i noticed it was petty warm. Not hot enough to say meltthe wire but it wat pretty warm. Is this normal? IDK

Normally heat on wires is an indication of an electrical short. Sometimes a bad ground will also cause heat but if its your ign wires I would suspect a short
