need help, a electrical problem

Post by bkc4ever »

hi guys, i just recently got my bike painted and i put all my pieces on this morning. i cranked the bike up and it fired up fine, almost home i stopped by a gas station. I went to fired it back up and it wouldnt... So im thining my battery is dead. I rolled it and popped the clutch and drove it home. I noticed as i was driving in the drive way that my headlights wasnt on while the bike was on, so i cehcked the bulbs and they are not blown, so i then hooked up my battery charger and charged it for about 20 min. Still no diff results, im stumped, i hope its not my vr.... Oh and btw i have a 1990fzr 600

Its possible its your battery. You can do a voltage check on it. If its good then its your VR.

It is the start button. With the bike running, slightly press the button to see if the headlights come back on. It is a common problem.

Sometimes if the contacts are not touching you might be able to make them but I have always just bought a new one.

Ya, I've bought new as well. The other option is to change to the R6 control switch and throttle assembly.
