tachs - will this work?

Post by China_Racer_1 »

I got a few sets of tachometers sitting around. One is off the FZR 3en, one is off a tzr 250.

I have little doubt the 3EN one will work on the earlier model FZR but my question is will the TZR tach work on the YZF engine I have nmy 400 /yzgf hybrid?

It revs up to about 18,000 before it redlines. Those TZRs are bummble bees.

Also I heard that if you do not use the rev limiter the bike runs a few horse power less.
Same with the side kick stand safety button thing-a-ma-bob (Thats a technical term)

Any truth to this for the YZF600R? Ithought if I just jump the wires I would be good to go.

Anyone got a clue on this?

Just jump the wires and your good to go. I have not heard anything on the rev limiter and losing HP.
