possible vance and hines edition

Post by zeofox »

I purchased a 1992 FZR 600 about a month or so ago and got rear ended with my wife on the back. its all decked out in vance and hines covers and exhaust. I was trying to find out if I had a legit vance and hines edition but I have no idea on how to do that. I will say though that while looking at the bike it has the pink and yellow paint job to include the yellow rims but i dont know if its real or not. How can i find out if i have a real vance and hines edition fzr 600?

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about the collision ... I hope you and your wife are OK. I don't know how to verify the authenticity of the bike. I'm not sure who built the original Vance & Hines. I suppose you could contact V & H on their website and ask them if they have any suggestions.

I don't know if there is a VIN series or anything like that, but there should be a crest on the top of the gas tank stating that it is a V&H edition and that crest should also have a unique (3 digit?) number.
