Bike loses power under heavy load?

Hey there my felow friends! So ive had my 94 fzr 600 since May and have not had any trouble till today! I rode for about 30 miles and stopped at a friends. When i went to get back on the bike 5 minutes later it didnt want to start? I had to blip the throttle a bunch to get her to catch and it was like she was running on 2\3 cylinders. After a few moments of blipping the throttle the bike finally caught and all seemed ok. I got on the main road and under heavier throttle the bike seemed like it cut down to 2\3 cylinders again. It seems fine im in not giving her heavy load. Also smelled gas when i started the bike earlier and had trouble if that info helps? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!
