250, 400, 500, 600, 750, 1000 ... ? Given the banner title at the top of the page, I'm assuming this is for a Yamaha FZR - but I've been wrong before. It happens. Sometimes.

Lol. Yes, I assumed since it was in the FZR 600 section of the forum, people would know.
Thanks, Don. BTW, the bike is running like a champ after the VRR upgrade and new battery. The original VRR cooked the old battery. Now I need the fairing stays to correctly mount the mirrors and tank. Both of my stays are twisted.

It'll basically be impossible to find used stays that are 100% straight.

Re: Need Straight Fairing Stays for 91 FZR 600
Why? Have most of them been dropped like mine were?
Re: Need Straight Fairing Stays for 91 FZR 600
There is that, yes; very few ~20 year-old bikes have NEVER been down. You also have to consider that the simple act of riding around, with the wind pressure pulses and road pounding, will flex and eventually bend the bracketry.

Re: Need Straight Fairing Stays for 91 FZR 600
Mine ain't right. There's gotta be somehting better than this:

I banged on the mirror stay and it's better - may work. The front stay would probably require some serious clockwise rotation with a long prybar.

Re: Need Straight Fairing Stays for 91 FZR 600
Yeah, that's ugly. As you say, though, so long as it's basically intact you can gently persuade it back into something resembling the correct shape.

I am in agreement, but I will check when I get home if I still have mine.
