I am new to this forum and I need some parts for my FZR400 Hybrid. The first thing on my list at the moment is a swingarm. I really need a 3TJ swing. Just like everyone else, but if anyone has one please let me know. I will pay overseas shipping too. I am going to try and find one for a while and if no luck i will get the 1990 Deltabox. I must stay with the original bike's dimensions and fit a 5"x17" wheel on back. A stab in the dark, but thanks.

DAP since your in the US you might want to check out the FZR1000 swing arm. There are tons around they look almost identical to the FZR400RR(SP) swingarm.

Thanks Buddy, but I found one in London. EvilChicken hooked me up. Paid a ton for shipping, but I now have it in my possession, yaaa. I was just really concerned about a longer swingarm and the 3tj will allow the wheel that I want on it. This forum is awesome. I just now need the regular 400 pivot axle, shock knuckle, and chain adjusters.

You will also have to modify sleeve that is inside the pivot of the swing arm. The following pic shows what I did. From Left to Right is the stock 400 sleeve, the 3TJ sleeve, and a stock 400 sleeve with spacers pressed on.
Here they are again, from Top to Bottom is the stock 400 sleeve with spacers pressed on, the 3TJ sleeve, and the stock 400 sleeve.
By the way, I know it is too late but I used Parcel2Go to ship from the UK and it was pretty cheap.

I also found this pic. From Left to Right is the stock 400 swing arm pivot bolt and sleeve, the 3TJ pivot bolt and sleeve, and the stock 400 sleeve with spacers.

Yes, you put bushings (I could not recall the proper name earlier) on the stock 400 pivot spacer (sleeve - the long hollow tube) and use the stock 400 pivot bolt (the skinny bolt).
I might have dimensions on the bushings you need to make. I'll try to dig them up for you.

Ya know what, I'm just realizing that I put the 3TJ on my 600, not my 400. I "THINK" the 600 and 400 pivot sleeves and bolts are the same though so everything I said still holds true. Just substitute 600 eveywhere I say 400 in my previous posts for it to be factually accurate to what I did. Technically it is accurate either way.
How did I do at confusing you?

Awesome DAP, how much did you pay? Also when you get your swingarm you want to weigh it and post the numbers up?

I went the simple way to adapt the 3tj arm. I chucked the fzr pivot bushing in a lathe and trimmed it down to be a press fit into the 3tj bushing.

I paid 300 bucks for shipping and 78 bucks for th 3tj sp swinger. I weighed it when i got it and it weighed 14 lbs. tragically the 600r steel swinger was only 13lbs. the 3tj is solid aluminum cast at the pivot and is beafy. but looks fantastic and will do what i want. i am now looking for an r6 shock. i have seen mixed reviews and cant put my hands on one to measure it up. what is the best year of r6 shock to use on the 3tj? some of the canisters are vertical and some are horizontal. which one will fit the 3tj swinger and have proper clearance? thanks guys.

Update, just bought an 08 r6 rear shock. got it off of ebay shipped for 88 bucks. it has the adjustability i needed and rebuildable and is lighter than the 06-07. most ofmy attention has been in the frontend. i am saving money for the speedwerks triple and going with 08+ forks. the speedwerks triple is not that much money and it will be alot better than using 05 triples and machining and hacking. I still am needing the 400 rear parts as in my previous post. so if anybody haxs them lemme know thanks again. D
