Tires that will pass inspection 92 FZR600

Post by amanda11270 »

I just picked up a 92 FZR600 and it is a complete shambles, I managed to find locally near me here in PA most of the parts I need to bring it back to life, but it practically broke my bank. One thin I cannot afford right now is new tires so I'm in search of used tires to get the bike inspected. It seems to have an odd size rear 140 60 18, is that the correct size even for this bike? And the front is a 110 70 17. I actually need both contact me if u have one or both rather inexpensively.

I can also be reached at (deleted by mod) since I'm pretty new to the forum here and haven't figured out the pm yet.

(Mod edit - You've set up your profile to allow board members to send emails by clicking on the little envelope under your name on the right of the screen. Publishing your addy is begging for trouble.)

The front is correct; the rear tire IIRC is more typically a 150/70. Used rubber on a bike is rarely a good idea; to put it rudely, it's right up there with used rubber in the bedroom - you have NO idea where that thing's been ridden! :yuck:

Not the brand I would use for a track day, but if you're on a tight budget, you can get a set of Shinkos for less than $180 a set ::

I found tires today, with wheels, I had to drive like 100 miles to get them, but for 100 bucks I got wheels with almost new maching bridgestones front and rear, I guess the bike was on a mechanics lein, and the guy never came to get it so he can only sell it as parts due to no title, I felt bad when he told me that, but I guess that stuff does happen if u don't pay, and in this economy it does not surprise me
