I am looking for the OEM mirrors in good, excellent, or new condition. Will pay $100 for a new unused set.

http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-fzr400a-199 ... ml#results Parts 29 and 30, get the Yamaha-Partnumbers there and check your local Yamaha-Dealer, he should be able to get the mirrors for you
CMSNL in the Netherlands have actually only the left ones available, but i guess as its not completely out of the list it will become available again (or Yamaha themselves will have got still some in Stock
)..if everything breaks, i´ve got at least a right one in nearly new condition in my sparepart-collection, but i´m located in germany,so shippingcosts would be an issue probably...

Thanks : ) It looks to me that the right mirror ( #29) is all out of stock world wide until one shows up on Ebay or another FZR owner.
Odd because the left mirror ( #30 available) would be the most requested for replacement in kickstand tip overs :/

Re: WTB 1990 FZR 400 OEM black mirror set
I checked the estimated shipping costs at http://www.dhl.de for a single used 3BF mirror....when i state i want 20 Euros (guess that this price should be without additional custom-costs) for the mirror and will send it to the U.S. as an insured small packet (called "versichertes Päckchen" instead of "Paket" here in Germany) the shipping-costs will be 19,20 €, without the insurance against losing the paket it would be 16 € but the mirror should be worth the insurance (excluding the packet box itself, but i have enough boxes lying around here
) so that it will cost 39,20 € at all... a new one if available would be around the same amount for the mirror only and shipping would come upon the price then...
Obviously it maybe cheaper to find someone selling a original mirror in the US if there is someone who actually sells such a used right mirror in proper condition, but if theres no way to find one in the whole U.S. you now know who to pn for it

Thanks for that TomcatMJ
Have you or anyone else tried these Chinese mirrors on eBay?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271527962018?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
It says they fit the FZR400 but it shows the c/c dimension as 45 mm. O.C.. My mirror studs are more like 42 mm. O.C.
They are also shorter stalks than my OEM units are which will make seeing behind even more of a challenge than it already is.
Even now I have to pull my entire forearm and elbow in to see what's behind me. : / But at $20 maybe worth a try??

If you would change to fitting, not original Mirrors perhaps a set of Smat Nord Mirrors ( http://smatnord.com/en/prodotti-/motorcycles/ ) might be something for your Bike?
I got these in the fotos from a special offers sale here in Germany at http://www.polo-motorrad.de 2 years ago for 10 € each (regular price was 19,95 € at this time) and yes, you are able to see whats going on behind you with these mirrors instead of only looking at your own ellbows

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321858771187 <-Found in venari´s thread (his posting at http://www.fzronline.com/forum/viewtopi ... 27#p103826 )...the pictures of these look like the originals of my 1990s 3BF should have looked before the need for repainting them
Repainted, formerly scratchy looking original mirrors but as a side-result of the repainting now glossy instead of original looking:

Re: WTB 1990 FZR 400 OEM black mirror set
You might want to check out using FZ600 mirrors (1986-87). I believe they are black, same spacing & available. I just eyed up the FZR400 mirrors vs the Fz600 and they are darn near identical. You may just need to trim a few threads off the mirror mounts if you use the acorn style nuts.
