Second race is manfield long track.
4.5km cicuit
Track is our normal circuit extended out the back with 90deg corners that have zero camber :yikes: yes zero..........
Back half is also skinny and rough...LOL

http://www.manfeild.co.nz/infopage10.asp

Four weeks to go.Got Sweeks yoshi headers going on.
Couple of headers issues to sort.

#previous owner at some stage flattened the headers underbelly so cut them off and rebuild that area.
#I have OWO1 sump and oil cooler set up with oil cooler under radiator and the headers touch the cooler so relocation required forward and down.Yosh headers are longer before they curl down.
#underscoop will need modified
#tank has been lifted 11mm as per my free horsepower thread.
#will need to dyno tune again as first fit headers left 1foot flame thrower that could remove your leg if you walked past except its crutch level....OUCH
IS THAT MEATBALLS AND SAUSAGES YOU GOT COOKING ON THE BARBECUE????????? :jawdrop:

Current standings has me first even with 47points.The other guy on 47 is not entering the rest of series.
Third which is effectivaly second has 40points but he is unlikey to cause upsets.
Last years winner is yet to appear but he has given me an almost unbeatable advantage over him with his no show round one.

Word is he is big boring his gsxr out to 1300cc or close 2 it. Thats going to make life interesting.I think he will never have the wet riding ability that i seem to have.I lap 10secs faster than him in wet but still a second slower than him in dry but this gap gets smaller every race. After all this is the beginning of year two for me.Im only into meeting 7 at this stage of my racing with about 6track days before that.
Wish I had started 20years ago as I think i may have been awsume when i had bigger balls syndrome.

Ill get you some dyno results as I get them.

SAFE riding guys. :puke: Got the early season nerves. These go away and get replaced by the mid season nerves.LOL

Sweeks headers are now on the bike.Small midpipe made to reach my custom ally rear pipe and midpipe.
i wanted the yoshi system extended to the length of stock system.
I have done this so that a can swap from stock to yoshi if required as some tracks require some bottom end.
Wont know what mid range effect will be made yet but have dyno results from stock system to ovelap.
Dyno booked for Tuesday and not crisp at moment so may need rejet etc.
Leading series so just need solid results for the rest of the races .
Cant afford a no result or dnf.
Interesting to see if the return of Wootens gsxr1100 now with big bore kit will leave me struggling for power or if my FZR will still foot it with 1300 suzuki.
I got the handling edge and wet edge but straight line speed and torque disadvantage. Its now just a matter of how even the total package is.
will be on the lookout for 41mm fcrs if you spot some at good price.
Got to watch my budget as the money coming in is down on last year.Working 35hrs per week instead of 40+ this year.

will post shots and dyno results when the bike gets home next week. :yutugh2:

Should go good once you tune it Moss. I would even worry about the guy with the GSXR. You'll do fine. Good luck and keep us posted.

Mixed results.
race one first.
Race two second.
race three split into two starts as major accident.half one first....Restart fall while leading banghead
Low slide on cold tyre into entrance of s bend.
Leathers took hammering and need attention. No body damage and really top slide effort with a half flip as I came ver the ripple strip landing on feet.
Bike damage is small cosmetic.Couple of worn out bits on lower fairing and shorter rearsets and crash knobs.Everything else survived ok.
Carbs with v stacks were disaster.Good throttle until holding half throttle then rolling on power.
Looks like i need twin pods and factory pro kit or fcrs.

Sorry to hear about the third race man. Sounds like it could have been a lot worse than what it was. On a good note, congrats on the first two finishes!
