Mossy::: keep it & get the engine fixed. Im not a fan of the rear end, but I can get you all the 92 to 95 raceglass for it.
You could get it back to pretty much original race trim. My glasser has the full 92/95 raceglass moulds [thanks to me]
Sort of what im doing.. If its only a bigend shouldnt be a huge fix up. Just give it the once over while it apart, & you will have a good later model racer.. Now how are you gonna sleep?

Problem is we only have pre 89 class in New Zealand.
Should i move to Australia to race it maybe?
It will never compete in F1
Make a good practice bike though.

You need to build her up & come on over for a holiday/raceweekend. Many of your countrymen are comming over for the Barry Sheene meeting at Easter. If you want to come over you & the pit crew/mrs can stay here at my place. All our kids have gone & we now have an empty 5 bedroom house my & mrs B trundle around in. Im only 1.5 hours from Eastern creek raceway. So you & the Mrs are more than welcome.mossy1200 wrote:Problem is we only have pre 89 class in New Zealand.

Re: 93 fzr1000 with blown bigend
I think the problem is the lack of numbers.
Pre89 has been going 7years approx
We have to run pre 72 under 600 and over 600
pre 82 under 600 and over 600
pre89 under 600 and over 600
They all run at the same time.Pre 89 is the biggest field as its got alot of x formula three bikes.
The money bikes are the pre82 with z1s and gsx1100 with the full big bores etc 1280kits
Pre 89 is getting bigger because its a budget affordable class.
Last series even included vmax(not very sucessfull though, gets lapped twice in 15lap race)
Numbers are growing and we get 35 to 45 entries with only 35 grid max so some get shunted to other classes eg clubmans.
There is also the ocassional old motard yz490.
Post classic junior one by xr570cc heavy mods and 80odd horses.
Hard to pass and strange corner lines.
There are different restrictions for different classes with wheel size and fuel types etc.
Maybe i should rebuild it and send it to you to sell and profit share.Just a thought.
If I come over I can claim international race status and if i get you to pay me a fiver I can claim professional status to.
LOL
Not sure how high the auction willl go.
What do you think its worth over there???

Over here in running condition, & being pre 95 legal you would expect to get around $7000+ NZ money..
It all depends on condition of cause. But if I were to sell my FZR I'd want that sort of money. They are proven performers over here. In fact a 87 model bog stock execpt for some tarted up suspension, & slicks ran 2nd in the 08 championship.
The guy didnt make all the rounds either!!
Position Number Name Make Model Total Position
1 38 JASON LIGHT HONDA VFR750 337
2 34 MICHAEL ONRUST YAMAHA FZR1000 300

I got mine for $4000 ready to go but have spent more on it since then.Got spare wheels and discs and rebuilt this and that.
Got 2nd with 3rd 3rd 1st 1st 2nd round results. We had one round rained off for flooding with no results.Qualified 1st in class then rain flooded.
One extra spot in any race GRRRR.
Might find out how much to get it there.Which area?$7000 get you 3year old f2 bike or sv650 f3 at the moment.
