Well we came through unscathed & did ok in our first year back after 19 years..

I had a great time, meet some really nice people & [the main thing] I didnt make a dick of myself
The year didnt get off to a great start with all the drama's I had at the Barry Sheene meeting at Easter. But with Zoltan the[professer's] help, we tuned the old FZRs suspension up a bit & it showed in my lap times. Im getting the feel back & am looking forward to 09

So with some more money & time on the bike we should do a little better.
I have a fair bit of work to do over the Xmas break.
Getting some weight out of the bike, getting the Peter Jackson paint job done,The same as Troy Corsers FZR from 1992 LOOK BELOW :banjoman

PSC [Powersport Central] Morisset, did a great job on my rear shock! I gave them two shagged shocks 1xFZR1000, 1xYZF750. I ended up with a shock with comp & rebound adjustments, harder spring etc. Great job!!!

The class is for bikes 1990 to 1995 called New Era2 New Era1 is for bikes 1980 to 1989 >> http://www.postclassicracing.com.au/
Motor is stock, it has a
K&N filter & Formula 1 muffler.
155mm dog bones
The rear shock is a modded FZR 1000 with a YZF 750
gas cannister with the adjustable compression.
Synthitic fluid & reconditoned
The spring is YZF750.
Forks are standard with 20w fluid rebuilt & reconditioned.
EBC sintered pads, Brembo rotors.
Thats about it. I goes pretty well & the torque is huge. You never get cought in the wrong gear.
I just have to let the bike do the work..

Heres a pic from my first race in the middle of the year. I hadn't raced a bike for 19 years untill this day! :yikes:

Great job bro,

I know what its like on the come back. I just got back into it about 4 years ago after about a 15 year break.

Take a season to get the feel and get back in the groove, but then BAM! you get it down and your back in the grove and running upfrotn again.

The FZR is a GREAT Bike. Everyoen here thinks I am a total nutter for wanting to mod up my 400 to a YZF engine like I am but they just have no clue how well the frame is on the thing. Glad to see ya out there living the frame.

I think being older and hopefully wiser helps as your not out trying to make a name.. just having fun which equals a more relaxed ride and thus a faster lap time.

Good luck in the coming season. Keep us posted.
