My 2009 plans and Sponsors

I am a planner by trade. have been planning large scale construcion project for years before I came to China.
So planning ahead is a natural thing.
Last year after my crash I really was into too overly motivated to hit th pavement looking for sponsors though I gave it a half hearted effort and got half hearted sponsorship.
The year of racing is over here after the Nov 7th race and I decided to plan early this time.
I hit the pavement talked my ass off and by god I got a free ride for all next season.
I did it like this. I got a new contract with a guy who makes pizza ovens over here. I know him just hardly but I know he likes motorcycles and racing.
I convinced him to set up a pizza booth at the races. Attendees are = to 18000 at one venue and 7,000 at the smaller venue. With the proceeds he can support the race as well as advertise for his new franchise.
It worked; he bit and I wrote it into my contract.
2009 Race events for me:
The Pan Delta race series is a 4 race series at the F-1 track in Zhu Hai (South of China - top speed 172/MPH or 285/Kph give or take) and Locally the Shanghai Festval of Speed's three races.
Juhai, China is F.I.M. rules and will be for points, trophies and cash. Shanghai is just trophy and cash but its mostly exebition I feel than a bonified series. Still its all we have here. If we were to go by points I would be in Second or third place for sure as most of the racers have not been to all the events so I move up by default.
So seven events scheduled.
I am sharing this not to boast but to show how I did it and maybe help you guys with your sponsorship needs.
I found over the years you just realy need to find the right person at the right time mostly and my guy is it here locally for me. He loves sports and sees the benefit of sponsorship as a win-win for ego and advertising as well as maybe making a few bucks.
Man I need an new set of leathers now. So I will have a total of 4 near new usable sets. I would sell them off for cheap but I will donate two of the sets to the Race club I belong to so others can use them and nto have to buy or rent them at the track. Same with all the boots and helmets I have accumilated. I got no more closet space all of a sudden.
New Arai helmet on the way wooo hoo.
