I went for 20 minutes every hour minus for lunch. It was probably a good 2 hours total for the day. I even had the track to myself on the last run!

Excellent, welcome to the club. The club of adrenalin junkies who are a step above the rest of th civillians out there. My hats off to ANYONE who straps themselves to a bike and hits the track.
It takes a bit of balls to override the nerves and calm down enough to go do it and be halfway effective. Good for you
Does life get any beter than zipping around a track??? I don't think so. I am addicted to it.
Doing it when your the only one on the track is even better.
Good for you and your looking sharp out there. Bet you slept well that night.. thats a lot of sessions.
More pics?
Hey looking at your pick reminded me of riding/racing on a FZR and how you don't just ride the bike....You kind of fit into it and wear it. My thoughts anyway.

If all goes well and the weather behaves, I'll do a full day Track Day this October 12th. Can't wait!
It is a lot of adrenaline. I liked the fact that I more than held my own and the FZR can be thrown anywhere you want to throw it.
LOVE IT!
Not that I can judge, but some of the faster guys will tell you that your upper body needs to be on the same side as yer arse!

I thought I was hanging off too, but I wasn't even close...
What is the Track Day like by you? Do they have classes separated or eveyone at once?
Also, what is the cost and do you have a website or track layout?

It is organized by Chicane Trackdays, a local group of racers that are apart of the Colorado Sportbike Club. In fact, the main guy raced an FZR400 in 2006 and that picture should be recognizable to some of you (
http://www.spleenlessracing.com/TheBike.html). It gives a chance to the street riders to do a road course that is fun and non competitive, but also educational. Since I was a n00b at the track, I had to sit with an instructor and go over the basics. Then on the track follow him for the line, then he would follow me to see if my line was on. After I got more confident they let me loose......in the slow group,

. The track is a 2.2 mile track. My best recored lap time was a 2 min and 3 seconds which I thought wasnt bad and it wasnt. Some of the people in the medium group were getting 1 minute and 57 seconds on their newer 600's. I paid 200 for the day, which covered the "class". Without the class it would have been 125. The only link I have to them is from another forum, but I think they will have a website soon (
