This is whats called "New era" racing down here. Its for bikes built from 1990 to 1995. Good for us old men..
My first race after 19 years away!
What do ya think. I say the old FZR looks right at home on the track?

Nice one but "old men" don't know the meaning of the word and that is official I am the eldest FZR guy on this list @ 61 Hee Hee

Just be a tad careful bikes have come up a few horse power in 19 years my '80's racers were 60 -80 BHP and now my road bike is that without a tune up :-}

Nice, I see a lot of guys are running FZR1000's and there was even a ZX7RR. But how did #4 finish on the 125GP bike compaired to the 140hp machines?

belly pans were not standard back in the day. No worries.... If blow oil, you will be the first to know he he he

that is one sweet ride, looks like custom paint also... or is that stock colors for Austrailia?

Also did you cut your Yoshimura can, or did it come like that ?

Its a Formula 1 pipe with a Yoshie sticker on it. The paint is stock execpt the fairing top coloured yellow & some yellow & blue flashers were we could, so It'd stand out from the crowd a bit.
There are a dozen or more ZX7Rs racing over here & they are very fast too

Spot on. They dont make FZRs that are still running the EXUP, run bellys, because of the risk of fire if it fills with oil. Which I say is good thinking & can happen.

Stock suspenion, just some 155mm dog bones, & well serviced forks with 20w fork fluid, standard rear shock & spring which still works well enough for now as it has less than 25000 miles on it.
Over the Xmas break we will be doing some major weight shedding, & some BIG suspenion tweeks.

The 125 GP bike gave me hell in the corners, but on the straight I was gone. At the end of the race he was only about 1.2 sec behind me!!!

I race fzr1000w in post classic pre89 class in New zealand and the only comp is gsxr1100's
No one races zxr750s here at the moment.
Mines got Whitepower shock internals which is legal mod for our class.
Stock motor and carbs, still have exup system which we are able to run.
Find its very usefull to have when its wet and corner exit speed is lower.

Please dont refer to us as Old Men. That 1K of yours looks and belongs on that track. Nicely done!

"Old" is 15 years older than your present age.

Looking like that bike is nice and comfy on a track where it belongs.

This is my off season progress so far.
Should be a different bike when finished.
Modded rear shock with comp & rebound adjustment, heavier spring.
Modded rake settings [24.5deg] should sharpen her up a bit.
Modded forks with racetech internals heavier spring weights.
Lighter weight raceglass.
Less weight with removal of fan, horn, switchgear & any unnessary wiring.
Braided lines.
