I got these pics in from my Serbian buddy Dragan (his real name) These are only about 3 meg res most are 5 meg that are coming.

Image
Going for it - this guy was all over my ass but I kept him at bay until the checker flag. He was about three times this distance behind me when the flag fell.

The bike in the background went down 1st lap. It stayed there in the impact area the rest of the race. the Marshals are all too chicken shit to get out there and get in the danger zone so they just let them lay hoping no one else crashes into it. So f*ck stupid huh?

Image
This is 4 turns from the checker flag. The #36 bike behind me is my race student Fred he will lap me two turns forward of here cheating me out of my last lap by about 200 yards and taking 1st place.... DOH! (At least he pays attention when I am training him ha!)

Image
Warm down lap I actually saw Dragan on the side so I gave him a thumbs up.

Classic battle aftermath.. warriors in the back ground talking about the fight... a lone rider.... and a fallen foe on the field of battle.

Image
Fred kicking Uli's ass. They hate each other and its a great rivalry.

End result Fred 1st place
Uli 2 laps from the checker wads up his Brand new 2009 Ducati 1198 in a 200K km/h (120 Miles per hour) left hander causing about $10,000 USD in damage.

Cause of crash - Hit a false neutral between 4th and 3rd coming into the corner and instead of shifting back up to to 4th he shifted down which went from 4th directly to 2nd and caused his rear end to slip right from under himself. DUH! The bike had just over 200 miles on it. His new sponsored ride was wadded and Ducati Asia Pasific General Manager will have a sit down with him next week. Poor Uli

Image
Fred giving a #1 after he jsut took 1st overall in the Open Superbike class on his 2004 Honda CBR 1000RR. Its had a lot of work to it and can bust 200 Miles per hour at the F-1 track.

I have been woring with Fred for about 14 months training him up at first then giving him a bit of advice mroe recently as his skill has increased. He has a shit load of talent and I am happy to have been even a little involved in his victories this season.

Re: Qualifying / RacingA TON more pics added!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some more candid race shots.

I again wish to thank Savage City Cycle in Washignton State for sponsoring me the electrical relays I needed to have to be in this race. With out them I would be a spectator. They gave me the parts and over nighted them fed-ex. I got them the day before qualifying - cutting it close but it all worked out. Thanks SCC !

Image
At the entry point to the track. Lots of buterflies sitting here waiting. After you head on to the track they go away pretty quick. Too much to do and think about out there.

I got the brass knuckles on black tape which covers my old primary (asshole) sponsor that pulled out after the first race this season and f*ck up the whole remaining season for me. arghhhhh

Image
Repping C.F.
Custom Fighter up front leading the way with Dragon Gear pushing from behind.

Image
This is a Hindle lightweight (super light weight really) exhaust system. The can is of my own doing. I am starting to make these Custom sized here now. More on that soon enough.

Image
Always wanting the most ass time I am first in line on the "departure" grid most times.
Paddock area is a bit crowded eh? But mostly everyone is good when a rider is coming in they sound an audible alarm and everyone clears a wide path. Never an incident.

Image
Out of the 8000 + fans that showed up and the few hundred racers there are only about 20 white people at this event. about 6 of us are racers the other fans or family.

So we stick out like a sore thumb and they all want to have their picture taken with the white guys. Good Ego booster and I am a camera ham but it makes it a bit hard to get focused on the race which will start in a few mnutes. Quite the circus out there.

Image
Image
One down... 26 to go!

Next three pics - Joel is a student of mine. Its his first race on his own bike in his own new set of leathers. He was a new student a year ago. This guy so so much natural talent is sickens me.

Its Lap #9 of 12. In the previous short chute looked back for a split second to see what was going on behind me.

I see Joel coming up on my right. Now I know he is in 5th place and also that he has 4th about 75 meters in front of him. So I decided to scrwe with him a bit. (Hey he is my student I can't just let him pass me clean and easy can I?)

Image
He thought he would get ahead of me here as he is on the good line. I don't brake for this corner. Normally you stay on it hard but I give it a tad extra to stay close. I stayed up under him like he did not think I would do.

Image
Now I forced him outside more, and a bit out off the line.

Image
But not to worry, at the exit he will get me no matter what. It decreases and I run out of track while he can drift wide and hammer the throttle sooner.. which he did. But I figured if he wanted to pass me I better make him earn it. he he he

Image
I am right on my line which is about 3 feet inside of the guy behind me. But there are a few lines to exit this turn safely. Its pretty forgiving.

Image
Entering this left is a trip... you aim stright for the apex because its a increasing radius turn. so when you hit the apex you can drift out wide and you can take this thing a bit faster than you think you can. Get it wrong though and you will get smoked coming onto the front straight by the guys behind you.

My "turn in" point is the white line right behind my rear tire. when I hit it. I slam her over which is what I am starting to do in this pic.

Image
I am right on my line here. The tires are just to the right of the white line with body and knee dragging/bouncing over the red/white curbing. The apex is plauged with a big bump/dip though so you have to really hold fast until the bump is over and yoru stable again before you can hammer the throttle down the front straight

Image
On the front straight crossing start finish line, Heading to turn #1. Note how low my foot is. I have GP shifting so I am getting my foot ready to shift upward=down two gears for this turn. But right now I am still hard on the throttle. My throttle roll off point is 25 meters ahead followed by ass puckering braking for a hair pin left.

I got more pics coming from another photographer tomorrow I think. I will post them here as well.

Yea I got it straightened out to teh point it handled pretty well.

I got a few issues that I plan to fix

1st I need race tires nto Bridgstone street tires. They were a medium - hard compound and did nto feel well out there.

2ndThe fornt end needs to tweek a bit stiffer i will add a heavier weight oil and see if that helps first if not a few very small spacers. its 96% there.

3rd Rear end is fine excet for the ride height I am maxed out on my adjustable dogbones. so I need to hack the aluminum subframe and adjust it then reweld it to get it the rest of the way.

4th I need to adjsut the rebound and dampening a bit but again I need track time for that and its getting cold here.

I might have to head down to the F1 track in Zhuhai (South of China) to test it more.

Overall I am estatic !! when I first got out there I was sceraming like a frigin kid with joy. My biek worked and handled well enough to finish the race and pull a few hairball moves. Next season I will become one with it and then race like a mad man on it.
