http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com used to be the cheapest place to get Yamaha parts. I'm sure they're still cheaper than bikebandit.

Here are a few more.
North County Yamaha -
http://www.ncyyamaha.com/fiche_select.asp - Decent prices and fairly quick shipping/handling. Located in San Marcos, CA
Yamaha Sports Plaza -
http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/ - Really good prices but kind of slow on the shipping/handling. Located near Seatle, WA
MR Cycles -
http://www.mrcycles.com/ - Have never bought from them but they have all the Japanese manufactures listed. Located in Ashville, NC
Power Sports Pro -
http://www.powersportspro.com/ - Have never bought from them but they have all the Japanese manufactures listed. Located in Omaha, NE
Non-Yamaha
Prosource Parts -
http://shop.prosourceoutlet.com/pages/p ... fault.aspx - Everyone but Yamaha. Online only I think.
I've found that if price doesn't matter and you need it really quickly then you should buy from your local dealer. Yamaha factory warehouse ships really quickly and you don't pay for shipping (it's built into the price). But you need to find a dealer you like and this is only true if the part is not on backorder or needs to be cross shipped. The main wire harness I bought for my '89 came from Tokyo and I had it in 3 days. If price is a main issue and time is not then buy from the parts online. Even with shipping it should not cost as much as the local dealer.

Dennis Kirk ...... call 1-800-969-7504 and have them send you a Metric bike catalog. I have their number on speed dial in my cell phone.
They have also have cruiser and off-road catalogs. During the winter they usually sell snowmobile stuff also. They ship really fast, are located in Minnesota, so center of the country, and if your order is over $100 the shipping is free. The prices are very competitive and the selection is awesome. The only thing they don't carry that I wish they did is Teknic.
BikeBandit.com
Have been ordering a lot from them lately... because they give a DISCOUNT to AMA members! YAY ! Another good reason to join. They recently have some unbelievable deals on Teknic gear.
Between myself and my brother we've ordered well over $10,000 worth of stuff from Dennis Kirk. Never had them mess up. Got ONE defective product, they just credited my card and told me to throw the product away. Great customer service, even for hard to find part numbers that may not be in their catalog.
...woops, I just realized this thing said OEM parts, sorry, I guess this will need to be moved to "Aftermarket parts".

...sorry!

Dennis Kirk is widely popular here in MN. From what I hear they are great to work with.
