Hello all,

I thought I'd share with you all a few pics of my FZR1000 Exup project. It's not quite finished but it should be within the next few days (or possibly weeks; you know how these things go...)

More soon

A smooth running, 129bhp producing FZR thou picked up for only £1200

Who needs a center stand anyway...

The rear sets looked rank, but new items for these bikes are not easy to come by these days, nothing else for it; had to get my hands dirty and attempt to make them look a tad better

The std brakes felt naff, way too soft for my liking; hopefully the new R1 blue spots should offer a wee bit more bite

Cheers mate!

Well, it's almost there; can't wait to see it all done and back on the road. The sound from the full race D&D pipe is just sooooooooooooo nice...

The bike itself was owned by a RIDE Mag reporter; he done a 3-month project on it himself back in 09 entitled 'Passed for Service'. Basically, he did all the machanical stuf that an aging bike needs; all bearings, shims etc. So, when I saw it up for sale, I just thought 'that's gotta be worth tidying up a little...'

Hopefully, when he sees it done, he might be wanting to put the old gal back in the mag, who knows, hey.

Wasnt that on eBay for a while?

It's looking really nice. I like what you have done with the screen too, gonna copy that if you don't mind...

And where did you find your fenda extenda, I've been on the hunt for one for nearly a year now?

The fender extender was on the bike when I bought it. It's not usually something I would buy myself but I'm so glad its on there as it will afford so much protection to the paint on the mid faring panel behind the front wheel for sure.

Just need to dial in the front brakes and then it'll be time to take it out for a test ride...

cant believe how much a few different lines on a paint job changes the overall SHAPE of the bike

Made a smart job of that

Yeah, as the short video explained; the whole idea of this project was to prove that there's plenty of choice out there for those who may not have the dosh to purchase the new stuff...

I have to say, its running Dyna coils, new barings all round, K&N filters etc, which altogether help the bike to kick out a very respectable 129bhp. So, I guess its got it where it counts, hey.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments guys.
