i am looking at an 87 fzr1000 and want to know about mods before i purchase and if 800 is a good deal its running great low miles too!! i would like to replace tail and fairings as well as front end! help please!!

i have a 88 fzr 1000 .. as far as upgrades .... as far as i know they r few and far between.(now if you were talkin a 600 the info is endless)..... the tail swap is somthing i have been wanting to do as well but finding solid info on anything custom for the 1st gens is proving very difficult .... atleast for me anyway ....good luck, maybe you'll get more responses than i have .....

im wanting to do a rear wheel or swinger swap to get rid of the 18" wheel
rear tail swap
front end swap and or r1 front brake swap
some type of rear shock swap
and a few others ..... let me know if u find any solid info on it

you can upgrade to the newer fzr1k front ends(the usd ones) pretty easily, and same with the rear, which gets you normal wheel sizes

Is the front swap a direct fit or is there some fab work involved, any how tos on this? Same question for the rear , I have a buddy with a 92 that is in pieces I could part pic from
