88 1000 throttle cable ??

ok pretty simple is this the proper diagram for a new throttle cable

i was ridin home from work today when out of nowhere the throttle when "dead"... after a second i figured out that the throttle still work but i had to turn it back ALOT futher than normal to get a response from the carbs .. the engine still ran fine just a loose throttle ...also it does not roll back after u let it go now .... seemed that i had to roll on it further and further as i got closer to home .... when u let go it doesnt stick it just doesnt roll back .. u can roll it forward(towards to front of bike) manually and it just keeps going .. doesnt lock/stop.. so i am assuming(<<yes i know the saying) that the "pull cable" came loose or broke gonna check it out tomorrow just want to see if anyone had any input or a good place to get replacements that werent outrageously priced. thanks for your time

well seems im in luck i just couldnt wait til tomorrow to check it out, so i went out to the garage to get a look. what happened was that the adjuster that attaches at the carbs on the pull side had worked it self loose so a quick turn of 2 10mm nuts and i back up and running ... but was still like to know of a good place to get some replacements if anyone knows of one ... thanks
