hey guys im new to this so bare with me, my 88 fzr 1000 ( motor is a 93 ) wont start, i rebuilt the starter, i got a new battery a couple weeks ago, i had it running 2 weeks ago and now it wont start, i went and bought a new starter relay assembly. bike sounds like it wants to start but the motor wont turn, im not sure what i should look at first, i dont think it would be bad gas, because i just had the bike running and i put a full tank of gas in it. any ideas help me out i need to get it running again i cant stand not being able to ride it

check spark, check fuel filters aren't blocked, clean out the carbs, make sure fuel pump is working then make sure battery is fully charged, are you sure the starter is working correctly? Try removing the airbox and squirting some easy start or carb cleaner into the carbs as you crank it. If it turns over on that then it is parbably supply related. Well that's what i'd do if it was me! :shocker

Hi,
If the motor is not being turned over by the starter then check the charge of the battery (may be too weak to crank it over) If you mean the engine is tumbling over BUT not firing, check spar plugs not drowned or dirty,

You may have also sucked up crap in the fuel tank so check filters & clean the carbs (re-synch them when you are done)

those bikes are very battery sensitive!

will have neough power to try and fire for hours but not enough to really crank
