What year is my TDI from?

I purchased a wiring harness off eBay for my '94 FXZR600 and got a harness for a FZR1000 (it was listed as a FZR600 harness and I couldn't tell the differance from the pictures.) It still had the CDI on it so I tried looking up the year off that with no luck. It is a hitachi and has two female plugs inlets with some wires coming out the middle that has a circular male plug on it. The numbers on the CDI are BB7211, then 3UU-00, and stamped in a box is 0215. Thanks for your help!

I don't know of any chart that would give you that information, so you'll have to wait till some riders check their own CDIs to give you the info.

Is it infact an exup FZR600 TCI (CDI)?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-FZR600-3HE ... 0491307287
YAMAHA FZR600 3HE CDI BOX ECU PART NUMBER BB7211 3UU-00 0209
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... &viewitem=
FZR 600 CDI ALL YEARS 3UU-00 BB7211 FZR600 CDI
I googled "BB7211 3UU-00" those (above) were in the results. I Think the 600 exup TCI has the extra wires coming out of the middle.

Mal.

WOW! Can't believe that guy is charging $200 for FZR600 CDIs and getting it.

Haha...I don't know everything. I can safely say that. I do appreciate the vote of confidence in the info that I can provide though (I have to stop sounding so damn corporate all the time).

Anyway, sciamanna44, more than likely the CDi/TCI you received is from an EXUP (aka California model) FZR600.

It is a 600 Cali model - the part number in the micro fiche for a 92 fzr600 cali CDI is 3UU-82305-10-00

well if the 600 and the 1000 numbers follow the same pattern, my 89 1000 cdi is a 3LK-00 and my 90 is 3LK-01, now the cdi in my bike is 3LK-10 and i believe it is a 95 cdi on the newer harness. That tells me the last numbers refer to what gen the box was from, also the two connectors connected to the older harness and the servo I do believe so it was for an older bike ie. first gen 600

That being said, what are you doing with the harness?
