So, anyone have any insight on how to hook it up? I see the (broken off) wire that leads to it, but I want to be sure I'm doing it right. I'm not a very experienced mechanic (read: I can change oil and brake pads on the car, and that's about it).

Fuel Reserve Switch
While taking some of the fairings off the bike yesterday to do an HID install (which work brilliantly; maybe I'll do a separate post on them), I found something a bit disconcerting: my switch to go from regular to reserve fuel is not hooked up to anything

Re: Fuel Reserve Switch
There should be a sender on the bottom of the tank. Green wire and a black wire. The connection goes there.

Re: Fuel Reserve Switch
I have the wires coming out from the tank, but they're broken off from the switch; I just need to know how they hook up to the switch. I haven't taken a very in-depth look at it, so it might be really simple. Like I said, I'm quite the n00b when it comes to this stuff (especially the electrical stuff).

Re: Fuel Reserve Switch
They normally plug in. The sender being a two wire female plug and the switch being a male.
The sender is #24 in this pic

And the switch itself is #27-30 is this pic.

Re: Fuel Reserve Switch
Thanks! I'll see if I can't get it hooked up.
