Fzr 1000/600 wheel question

Okay guys, my buddy has an FZR 600 front end bolted up to his FZX 700.. Question is will 92 fzr 600 wheel bolt up to 87-90 forks? I know the brake will but im checking on here for him to see if the wheel will work within too? or will he have to grab a fzr 1000 wheel.
I know 94-95 1k forks slide into a 91-93 yokes at top but the spacing for the wheels are different between the models.
