is the ex up valve really worth putting back in...i bought the bike without one and have never rode one with it. i have recently bought all the parts to put it in but cant find the ex up pulley anywhere on the internet without paying high price. but to the people that have rode one with and without. which did you like better? is power up to around 5k more noticeable?

When I got my 94 1000 it had a full Yoshimura race exhaust. NO exup at all. Unless i was really careful the bike would almost die until around 4k rpm. There were times i had given it too much throttle before the power kicked in and it wasn't fun to ride. I have since swapped to a full stock exup system (including the muffler). The power is now smooth from low end to redline. No flat spots or anything. Much better to ride. Look for exup cabled from the YZF1000 ThunderAce and 98-01 YZF-R1. The cables are exactly the same. I have R1 exup cables on my bike and have no issues.
