Hello again guys,

I'm about to purchase some new front brake lines (spiegler) for my FZR 1000 and I noticed that they offer a stainless steel braided clutch line. Is there any performance benefit to be had if I go with the spiegler one? Or is it more for flash and flare??

BB45,
The feel will be that much better just like it is when you change brake lines, 'sides it looks better with matched kit :-}

The clutch will be a bit stiff. You'll get used to it like anything else. Not really that much of a performance benefit in my opinion.

Spiegler are very pricey. I doubt there is much difference between them and say Galfer or Goodridge.

No doubt the spiegler brake lines are very pricey- It will cost me $205 to get the pair of front brake lines and the clutch line. I was going for the spiegler because they make FZR 1000 specific pieces and make them in a color combination I really like.
Does Galfer or Goodridge make an FZR specific brake or clutch lines? Do they offer any color combinations like spiegler?

I would be tempted to buy from Galfer or Goodridge if they did.

Thank you every one for your input so far.

I know that Galfer makes them in a ton of colors. I chose a dark smoke for my GSXR.

You may have to contact them to get the specific model/length. Not too many companies still list aftermarket parts for the FZRs unfortunately.

After some consideration I went with the Spiegler lines and I'm glad that I did.
Both front brake lines and the clutch line went on without a hitch.

I also installed some EBC HH pads on the front during the swap and stopping has never been easier.

I would reccomend this set-up to everyone!
