Ok this is what have been going on whit my 92 exup the last year or so.
It developed a smoking habit and became more and more rattly,I had to replace spark plug nr.4 every 500 km ( I think the rings needs to find a new home in the trash can ) and the throttle response had gone down the toilet. The shock was like a pogo-stick and I had to run so much preload that the rear suspension barley moved at all. The tyres were way past their best and the general state of the bike was very poor. Well it was a real :swear . I desided it was time for a make over.
So a telephone call to the breaker and I was the owner of a new ( used ) engine. Sorry but I have no pics of this. This was only the beginning. The carbs still needed attention.ImageImage[/img] Then the rear suspension, New short dogbones, new bearings and bushings in the link, new Hagoon shock, swinger polished and painted.ImageImage
Front end; new steering steam bearings, front weel bearings, painted and reecondisoned brake calibers, disk centers painted, weels resprayed, yokes painted top yoke polished and painted, ImageImageรง
New Pirreli Diablos , mini blinkers and a new euro plate, Image
At the first test drive I discovered that the clutch was sliping, so back to the garage...Image
The needle in the speedo broke off???? One sec it was there, the next time I checked it had escaped?? One more thing on the to do list is the radiator cab. For some reason it has started to leak :ermm:
Here we have some of the old stuff just before it went to the scrap heapImageImage
Dont know about the seat cover, throw away or what? I am keeping the Yosi pipe. I will try to make a new link-pipe for it. Some sort of under seat or high mount, dont know. Right now ill just enjoy it is back on the road, get the suspension set up and so on. One question, are we mad to spend so mutch time and money on old bikes? Don't know, but I had a great time doing all of this. Let me know what you think.

:tks: The clutch thing is a bit weird. It went ok,it was only sliping a little bit screwy When i toke it apart it all looked ok,removing the plates one by one until I got to the middle ones. They also looked ok perfect in place and all but.....
The basket was a bit chewed up where the broken plates have been. I'll check the basket from the old engine to see if it is any better, mabye change it over. IDK Somewhere I've read about modding the oil-pickup for the cluth, any info on that would be great.
