Starting clutch broken

Dear Guys,

unfortunately last week I tried to start my FZR 89 and I heard a very bad sound inside the engine.

I tried again to start the engine but I heard the starter engine turn but it not engaged the motor.
I think it broke the starting clutch.

I know the repair is very difficult because need to open completely the engine......
For this reason I'm thinking to change completely the engine with one used.

I found one engine year 1991 but I don't know if it's completely interchangeable with my 1989 model.
If I remember well the oil cooling system is different and my bike uses the radiator instead an heat exchanger used in the next model.

Certainly some of you who are very experienced may give me some clarification!!!
