1992 Fzr 1000 fork oil capacity

I have searched but not sure I have the right data. The bike has the KYB usd forks, and the capacity I found shows 470cc of fork oil. However, this feels like way too much, and is more than I drained out for sure.

I did not fully disassemble the forks but pumped them up several times while draining and they seemed to be empty.

Can anyone confirm the proper fork oil capacity?

The Yamaha OEM specs for 1991 -1993 show the fork oil as follows:
Capacity = 462 cc
Oil Level = 124 mm (from top of outer fork tube, fully compressed, without spring)
Oil grade = fork oil 5W

It's possible the previous owner wanted to increase the effective spring rate at the bottom of the fork travel (more fluid decreases the amount air being compressed under braking) in order to keep the fork from bottoming out. The general rule of thumb is to adjust the fluid amount by no more than 10cc at a time (to increase or decrease from OEM).

So you can go with the stock amount (462cc) or if you liked the handling as it was - you can go with the 470cc.
