Can someone advise the colour code for the white wheels or is it as simple as just powder coating satin white??

Cheers

I cannot help with the wheel colour code.........mine have been painted with rattle cans or 2k .

What prep did you do for engine paint.......?

You will be getting the frame cradles and subframe coated ?

Degreaser, wirebrush and plenty elbow grease. Basically scraped the 25yrs of crud off, got stuck in with degreaser and toothbrush then wire brushed. Everything that has come off has been on a wire buff and coated in engine paint (spray)....engine block will be hand painted with hi temp enamel engine paint.
I've cleaned up the cradles and sprayed them back to looking new. Frame appears to have been polished in its past...didn't think I would like it but I'm still deciding what to do there...

I did the TDM that had been badly overpainted with a hot degrease powerhose then gunwash thinners, wire brushes and finally masked every orifice and hit the hard to reach bits with a jerry rigged blaster and dried block paving sand.

I wanted to just get back to the original patina.
I then gave it a few coats of laquer.

It was lots of work.....yours looks like it was even more so.
The good thing if your repainting is that every scrap of paint does not need removal ,just the loose and any oxidisation and blistering.
It will transform the project.

Once the frame is polished it can be got back to somewhere near the original finish (it was anodised/coated)
by use of scotch pads worked in one direction.....this will also be very time consuming.

Polished frame with the polished clutch cover looks good IMO.

A cheap compressor and some add ons (a small touch up gun is about £15) are your friends on these jobs......painting the engine becomes childs play and the finish is far superior/durable to brush finish.

Finally got me an engine stand. Three of the exhaust studs were seized solid so this made drilling them out a piece of cake

New studs in and wee clean and paint..
