sparkplug cap resistor

Hi, after measuring the sparkplug cap after cleaning gives me a reading of 16.08.
If i change the resistor to a 5 ohm and 5 ohm from the sparkplug will that be sufficient
to get the 10 ohm that yamaha state you need. Did i read on here somewhere that 5 in the cap
is enough and would be unlikely to cause any upset to the electrics of the bike. 5 in the cap and 5
in the plug must surely be enough resistance for the coils one would think. Any input greatly
appreciated.
