Balancing carbs

Hi all,

A quick question. I tried to balance my carbs on Sunday. I have a home made carb balancer from a friend which he has successfully balanced his carbs with. I'm struggling to find where to attach the balancer. He told me that it needs to attach somewhere near the inlet manifolds between the head and the carbs but I can't find anywhere to attach it. He has a FZX750 which I think has similar if not the same carbs as the FZR 1000 and he sent me a pic of his but I can't find anything remotely similar. Does anyone perhaps have pics or can tell me where to look? This is for a 95 FZR 1000.

I found the below post but the pics have since been removed :-(

Thanks in advance!

Ok, managed to find this post (not sure why I couldn't find it yesterday when I was searching :headscratch: ). The only thing that is missing is the picture of a "random" carb to show the screws at the bottom of the intake boot. Anyone that can assist with a pic?

Thanks Stig!! Did you have to put the brass pieces in the carbs or are they already there?

Unless a previous owner left them in, they are not there. The holes are blocked by M5 bolts as standard. I used M5 welder tips, left them in there with heat proof hoses attached and ends plugged, so next time I can just pull out the hoses and attach the sync tool.

Are these the M5 welder tips you are referring to?

Yes, I used something like that. But I just bought them from the local hardware store.
