hi guys pls urgently need help with altenator not charging

Hi guys me agian how do i know whether or not its my altenator that is stuffed it doesnt charge at all tell me what can the problems be multi meter measures 12.03 when i start it and doesn go up when i rev it what can it be the rr or cr or a relay or what else and where sits what plz guyz

It could be the voltage regulator. Mine wouldn't charge and that's what I ended up having to change.

Thanx lastmile where is it situated the one that soldered to alt with the 3 wires or the one that sits by the bushes

It's located on the riders left on the tail. There are alot of write up on it. I used a newer one off an '08 R6. I had to hardwire all the connections, because I couldn't find a plug that would fit. Wasn't a hard change at all, but I know someone on here makes the plug for a different rectifier. That's the way I would do it.

Hi i changed the stuff on the back of the alt behind the cover with 3 screw and still nothing are you talking about the relays ? The fusebox then main fuse then fuel relay and last one i dont know for what is it ?

The VRR on a 1k is integral with the alternator, not on the tail. The FZR250/400/600 use permanent magnet alternators and shunt regulators; the FZR and YZF 750s and 1000s use field winding alternators with field current control regulators.

Check on eBay, EXUPWorldwide, here, FZR Archives, or exup1000.co.uk for people parting out to get a replacement VRR.
