EXUP Valve worn

So I had the noisy Exup valve and ordered new bushing as this seemed to be the repair.
Well took it all apart and figured it to be a straight forward repair( this is after breaking the 3 bolts off and having to drill them out and re-threading the holes), but was surprised to find that the shaft sections of the valve were completely worn down.
Figured I would just order a new valve, but almost got a heart attack when I got the price-$450.
For that price I would rather take a chance at fixing the valve. Welded up the worn surface end remachined it on the lathe.
I had to make a support rod to fit in the vlave so it would not bend as I clamped in the lathe between centers.
Came out perfect after machining. Re-assembled it and now its quite and work like a charm.
Didnt take pics of the worn shaft, but did of the welded surface and during machining.
