1988 FZR1000 engine with a 1989/90 FZR head?

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with fitting a 1988 FZR1000 engine with a 1989/90 FZR head?

The engine has a 1040cc piston kit installed.

I considering this change for my race bike given the greater amount of performance topend parts available for the '89 and later FZRs.
