Okay...

Bike is basically done. painted, fairings on, not perfect but at least rideable.

Can't ride the bike. I turn it on in Neutral put it in gear and it stalls

the clutch switch has been rewired, it's not the kickstand switch, the clutch is engaging and disengaging

I started it in gear w/ clutch pulled once but now it won't let me

i did have it in first and was slowly clutching forward but from neutral to first no dice

Thoughts? What can i check/fix?

Updates: Checked the pushrod, checked all the gears

I believe it's the slave cylinder - bought a rebuild kit, will update when it's fixed

You said you rewired the clutch switch? It sounds like its the problem. Nothing serious, sounds like a sensor.

:headscratch: :dubious: :( :headscratch:

That's enough to drive someone bonkers. I think there is something called a neutral switch also, that could be shorted out or picking up a bad signal.

I swear I saw it in an electrical schematic a while back, but I've never actually seen the wire etc. on the bike.

When you figure it out let us know.

The clutch switch lets you start it in gear it wont make the bike stall if it isnt working, mine rarely works. The kick stand switch will stall the bike when you put it in gear. The bike wont start in gear if the kickstands down with or without the clutch.

if it was true that the clutch swith was stalling your bike than what about this. the switch has two positions on and off now if it dident work and it always said the clutch was engaged then when you try to ride it engaging the cluth to make it move than it would die. you would nover be able to ride it because the clutch is out to do so. butmaybe it needs to be adjusted to take the slack out of the lever it might not be disengageing fully and mechanically stalling your bike.
