A place in East Kilbride called Central Scotland Powder coaters....wheels, frame, sub frame, yokes and both peg sets ..£200 ... good deal I think!

Update on the carb front for anyone that's interested.....it turns out the needles advised in Haynes manual are from a FZR400. The actual part number from mikuni for a 1987 FZR 1000 Genesis is J8-5CZ02.

Yes....we are watching/listening.

The £200 for the coating was a good price !
I paid £180 for just a TDM 3VD frame and swinger 3 years ago and wheels use/waste a lot of powder.

Haynes got it wrong you say ?...........well I never !

All sections of the forum are like this now I'm afraid, Schmo.......

That facebook has a lot to answer for IMO.

I know what you mean re; quality of information in the Haynes.
Far too many models attempted in one publication.

I looked in the WIKI last night but the "megaupload" link for the 87/88 Yamaha manual is broken.
(I think the hosting site was made illegal years ago and closed actually)

Yeah I found the same when trying find manual....i will be able to finish no problem it's just the small details that if not done right at the right time could mean a partial strip down again when I come to start the beast.

Is this any use ?

I believe it is courtesy of Paul (Stig) who owns the Exup forum in UK and IIRC has contributed to some of your posts on here.
