Well since i went to the wiesco pistons i am going to have to run their gasket head gasket. It looks like a nice mlm gasket though. We will see.
I bought one of gasket kits and yes most of the o-rings are wrong, at least the ones that are not shaped. But some of the case gaskets are discounted or at least hard to find now anyway.

I may be interested in the complete rear swing arm, with brake arm and such. I just need to pick up my 88, and the guy is being such a pain about it.

And i also have an exup exhaust laying around. But I'm just kinda teasing, because it has to go back on my bike.

Well guys after 3 days of riding this awesome new engine. It honestly felt strong as my 998 the brand f***ing new yamaha timing chain broke. Not even at the master, just a random spot in the chain. Head is done and I think the case is done because when the chian let go it broke off the tensioner mounts. I am not usually the type to ask for favors but if anyone has a head or a casefor a great price please let me know. It may be a good time to go to a exup head, case and cyl

BUGGER. Sorry man. You must be gutted.
What sort of chain was it? Cos I thought and im fairly sure the timing chain (yammy) is a DID endless chain with no master.
But I may be wrong here.

It was the yamaha part number the chain is a did 219FS it did come with a master.
I called and let them have it. They offered another timing chain and a drive chain.... Better then nothing i suppose.

I finished the engine again today. Its not as pretty now.... But running good for the most part until it hits 9000rpm every time. It feels like it looses a cylinder.
I am not sure if it is spark or fuel related... If anyone has any idea please let me know. Right now the carbs are freshly cleaned running dynojet stage 3 with dj 140 main on the fourth clip down. Just running velocity stacks.
